Project Description
The City has several existing design guidelines documents, in addition to design and development standards defined in the zoning code. Over the course of the Envision Simi Valley project the Project Team will develop a set of design and development standards to help expedite permitting of new minor projects.
The design and development standards will cover topics such as building height, landscape requirements, and more. While the Los Angeles Avenue Corridor and Tapo Street Area will receive specific plans that will include standards and policies tailored to those communities, these standards will apply city-wide. The standards will reflect community input garnered at public outreach events.
